Captain Annie Gardner
Our Captain
We are very lucky to have Annie Gardner, regarded as one of the best female sailors in the world, as our captain for our women's retreats in La Paz. During the 1995 America's Cup in San Diego, she was the team navigator and trial horse helmsman on America3, the all-women's team. More recently, in 2019, she and Sarah Kraft won the Hobie 16 World Championships in Florida. For the past 6 years, Annie and her husband Eric Witte have been cruising the world on their 2000 Catana 471 catamaran, El Gato. Annie is also an adjunct professor for Denver University where she works with their faculty teaching leadership, followership and team building skills.

This is a great day to go swimming with whale sharks. The season is typically October to February.

Covid
Since we will be all co-existing on a boat, it's important to address Covid. If you are not vaccinated, please provide a negative Covid result within 3 days of departure to La Paz.
When traveling domestically within Mexico, you don't have to get a Covid test to return. If you are flying back to the United States, you will need to provide negative Covid results. We can help arrange this if needed.
Flights
We recommend flying out of Tijuana via CBX. Covid tests are not required upon return when you travel domestically within Mexico.
